Thanks everyone! Well, I've tried out the Merkur Futur and really like it. Tried it at 1, then 1.5 and got a few nicks on my chin so I went back to 1 until I get used to the weight and feel of the razor. i really do like the weight of it, and the build quality of it is fantastic. I've got a bunch of different blade types and some soaps to try out thanks to a generous gift from a fellow shaver on a gun forum I go to sending me a bunch to try.
