Yup, these mock-up bolts are worth the price of admission, I have used them for years.
You can make your own by threading on 3-4 nut on a MicroFastener bolt and super gluing them together, but the Ebay ones are not expensive and do work great.
I recommend mocking up and making micro adjustments prior to pinning. Cant count the number of times mocking up has saved me.
Also buying a doming block will allow you to easily dome flat washers and make an assortment of collars to match existing collars. A domed collar will keep the scales in tension and flex with the razor as the razor is opened and flexes through the range. It also makes a re-pinning look much more finished.
Pro tip, polish your collars before you pin them. Bolt collars to a 1/16 inch bolt with a nut, (you can grind the head, hand tight is good enough) and chuck in a hand drill or drill press and smooth with1k wet and dry, polish on a scrap of leather with a dab of good metal polish.
