Yes ,yes and yes. Try them all and see. When I used mine I used to use it as a finisher after a synthetic progression of10k suehiro. The tiniest amount of slurry. I used to raise a small slurry and eliminate like 90 % of it. And use that to finish.
Each thuri has its own personality and each razor likes things a little different. Try all three methods. To expand on that, try different thuri slurry stones.
