Merkur Open Comb Razors

I was looking at the Merkur open comb razors and have found more than 1. There is the 11c and 12c which seem to be the same razor with a different handle, and the 25c with has a long, thin handle. When I read about the 25c, some say that is gives a mild shave, but the 11/12c is rated as fairly aggressive.

Do these razors have different heads, or is the difference simply in the handle? The 25c seems to be more common, but I don't know for sure.

I found the descriptions at thesuperiorshave.com to be very helpful for comparing Merkur models. I think all the heads are the same. It's possible that handle weight and length can affect the shave.

I'm not sure about the heads and what not. But I have a Merkur 11C, and borrowing a 25C from a friend of mine, and personally I like the 11C more!

The 25c is not as heavy as the other two. That's why some people might say it (25c) is not as aggressive as the other two razors

I have an 11c and don't find it particularly aggressive. In fact, I find it on the mild side and have to work hard to get the same shave I get from my daily driver, a Gillette Old Type.
