could someone please explain to me how it works?
is a higher number more aggressive or what

are you referring to the model numbers? e.g. 12c, 38c, 23c, 34g? as far as i know, the numbers have nothing to do with aggressiveness. they just denote the model. the c or g designate whether the razor is chrome or gold colored.
