Merkur Futur Set, anybody own one?

Evening folks,
Would like your input on an imminent purchase please
After a lot of searching Ive finally settled on a shave set that I fancy, its this Merkur Futur 700 chrome 4 piece.
Theres just one thing nagging at me....... will the glass bowl wear the chrome finish on the brush? Does anyone who owns this set shed some light on this please?

The glass bowl in this set has always made me wonder. It's a lovely set, especially in chrome (why anyone would not want a chrome Futur is completely beyond me). But the bowl seems much to small to be much use for bowl lathering (to me at least).

It looks to me like the brush is long enough you can lather in the bowl and not ding the chrome on the handle of it into the sides. Not hitting the handle on the bowl would equal no wear on the chrome of the brushes handle. As always, personal choice is a big part of our hobby, but I'll say it... I'm in the "hate the looks of the handle/razor" on the Futur stuff. lol
