Wow. I used the Merkur blade that came with the razor. Best shave I've ever had. Tales of aggression are way overstated, IMO. I found it to be no more aggressive than my Progress set at 5+, but way more smooth and efficient. If you're on the fence and don't mind the AD, go for it.

Yes, the 37C is a very unique razor. I mostly use adjustables now-a-days, so I sold all of my "fixed" razors, except for the 37C - I am even wanting to try out a 39C to compare it with 
I use my 39C almost every day now. It's a great razor!
I was about to b/s/t mine, after two finicky, frightened shaves, then just "plain old shaved" with it like any other DE. What a revelation! Now I can use it to dry buff over little micropatches I forgot. Even when I find myself applying pressure, e.g. ATG under the chin, it's really very forgiving.

Sorry, no offense intended. 
Doesn't look like anyone is offended. There are a great many of us who love to shave with a slant head. We even have our own club.
I have already informed my wife that she will be getting me a 37c for my birthday in April.
Congrats! Maybe she should get you both the 37C and the 39C?

FYI, I used the slant for the second time today. Again, wow. This time I was able to be a lot less tentative with the razor. At the right angle, with zero pressure, the 37c just wiped away one day's growth like it was just wiping Mama Bear's really nice Northwoods soap away with a sponge. I wasn't sure I was even making contact, but there was absolutely nothing left in this razor's wake. Wow.
