No answer on vintage from @Gryffindor ?
I don't see the draw to these new razors with multiple bottom plates etc, when the answer was invented and mass produced over60 years ago.
Get yourself a Gillette Fatboy on ebay that looks new and will l look new another 50 years taken care of.
$50 is a good number one can be had at, though lots of people w/IMO crazy high start or BIN prices.
Be patient. Even if it looks dull and grungy I find 0000 steel wool is all that's needed to bring a beautiful shine.
I think everyone should have one of them. If you don't have a vintage Gillette adjustable in your den I just don't think you understand lol. Check out the slim, or black beauties (Super 84 or 109 depending on handle length preference).

Take the same mercury 34 C what else.
I really like Maggard’s V3A, it’s kinda aggressive, not like the Muhle R41, but more so than the 34c. The head only is really inexpensive. I added an Ikon Bulldog handle. I really like it!! Highly recommended!
