Mergress Questions

So, I just bought a Megress, and I've got to say it's gorgeous aesthetically. One question though - when I screw it in all the way (with the indicators at the top lining up) it's set a bit off-center, near 1. As I loosen it it goes up the numeric chain, and it feels like it could go all the way past 0 onto 1 a second time. Is all of this normal?

Yes, this is normal. If you want to really cut up your face go around three times!

I usually start on 5 and work up, but if you're still getting the hang of it I'd recommend starting lower until you feel really comfortable with it.

Just had my first shave with mine at 2.5 and I really liked this razor. It may become my go to razor. Really impressed me.

I started at 3.5 for WTG and 2.5 ATG - two pass DFS and on most of my face its BBS (exception directly under chin). Love this razor, and by the way I use the Walley World Wilkenson Sword ($1.79) blades and usually get 4 - 5 great two or more pass shaves with this combination. YMMV depending on age, beard, and technique.

My first pass is at 2, second at 2.5, third at 3 and 4th at 3.5. On my neck however, I don't go above 3.
