Menthol?

When I first started DE shaving I tended to buy almost exclusively budget minded products. As such, I have several pucks of Col. Conks glycerin soap laying around...


The thing is that now I've taken a liking to mentholated creams and etc. Does anybody know if theres a way for me to add some menthol to the soap I already have, or if thats even possible?

You don't need to...buy some of Mama Bears Awakening soap. It is FANTASTIC!!! It has plenty of menthol kick and it is an excellent performer. I highly recommend it. While your at it, to experience total mentholated bliss, buy some Osage Rub to put on afterward...Ahhhhh

You've got to watch that menthol Hansel, It's addicting.

I guess you could melt some and add it to the molten soap base. The hard thing is getting the optimum dose.
Percentage wise, I reckon you would be looking to use around 0.01% or so. So unless you have a decent fine balance, it would be hard to do at home.
