Menthol splash

This has been gone over in bits and pieces but I'm hoping to get answers that put it all in perspective. I'm wanting to add a menthol (or two) splash to my arsenal. I've been waiting for the blue Floid to come available but I've heard quite a bit about Osage Rub.
Anyone care to compare and contrast these products? It seems that, in general, European aftershave splashes contain menthol, at least many of them do. Given that I look for products that do good things for my skin (ie more than carry scent), what are your favorite menthols?

Aqua Velva - cheap, good for the skin, available everywhere.
Skin Bracer - See Above
Proraso, if you can find it, is a little better than the two above.

I've tried the Floid Blue, AV is almost the same stuff, they are very similar.

I haven't tried the Floid, but I do own Aqua Velva and Osage Rub.

For pure freeze-your-face goodness, I have never used a product better than Osage Rub. It also doesn't really leave a scent.

fwiw you can't be the prices at Texas Beauty Supply! It's where I've ordered all of my clubman hair tonics and all my osage.

St. Charles Shave makes a menthol BLUE that will freeze your face off.

Pretty good stuff with about as much menth as possible.

Check out the Shave Den. They have a menthol option for their AS splash and milk. Double menthol available, too.

I'm really enjoying the double-iced Lime w/ allantoin from them. BRRR!

Lucido also makes a nice unscented menthol splash w/ glycerin. Very attractive packaging, too. Clear liquid in a clear bottle with a simple, classic Japanese looks.

Proraso splash = menthol & moisturizing. great stuff.

Mama Bear's Summer Ice Milks = cooling & moisturizing. If you really want to freeze yer face off try her peppermint ice milk & ask her to add a shot of menthol to it. Or if you're REALLY into the freeze thing, extra menthol AND extra peppermint! BRRRRrrrrrr....

Osage Rub hands down.
the shave den will add menthol (even double!) to the great smelling splashes they sell.
If those dont do you, nothing will.

if your not looking for the most menthol and just want a quality AS that we don't see here in the states very often, i would point you to Alt-Innsbruck and the German Pitralon Classic.

The Floids are nice, old-school barbershoppy scents. I prefer the italian's scent, which is slightly more subdued.

Alt-Innsbruck is a classic. Unique, wonderful scent, and a powerful menthol kick.

Proraso is my most-used menthol splash. Excels in every category, IMO. Goes on very light...great for warm weather.

In order of menthol ice burn:
1. Osage Rub
2. St. Charles Blue Line
3. Alt Innsbruck
4. Aqua Velva (Ice Blue..."Sport" doesn't cut the ice)
These are the ones I am familiar with, use all the time, so can't compare to Proraso.
In terms of fragrance:
1. Alt Innsbruck
2. Aqua Velva
3. St. Chartles Blue Line
4. Osage Rub

The "Liushen" brand of so-called "Florida Water" made in China and often available, very inexpensively, in Asian/Chinese shops and groceries, is very nice and very mentholly. Nice glass bottle, too. Way underrated/under-recognized in my opinion. Really one of my favorites over time.

(No idea why they call Liushen "Florida Water." Seems nothing like the M&L Florida Water I like so much, which has no menthol. Stay away from the "Butterfly" brand "Florida Water" that may show up next to the Liushen. No menthol, and IMHO, basically insipid light floral/powdery at best crap, very sorry to say. Closer to M&L Florida Water than Liushen, of course, but if they are trying to imitate M&L, it is the palest of imitations imaginable.)

I want some Osage, too. Seems to me that before I wanted some, it was everywhere, and I have not seen it anywhere since I have wanted some!

I have also never found the menthol version of Superior 70, which looks very interesting. (I really, really like Superior 70 bay rum. Zero menthol in it, though!)

Oh yes! I love the stuff. It also has a quiet, unbtrusive scent that fades.

You got that right, dcnpaulk. Ice Sport smells better to me, but has barely any kick at all. If menthol is what the OP really wants, there can be only one...

The 'Rub.

The trouble with stocking the Italian Floid drags on. I did order some decants from Mark, though.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to find everything you want in one place (and for it all to be in stock)? while I'm dreaming, if there was such a place, it would have free shipping....shaving supply nirvana!
