Menthol & AS

So what's the best way to add menthol crystals into aftershaves? I'm going to try this with Proraso for a bit more kick during the hot temps. TIA.

Just add it to the AS and shake it up. I wait a bit and then shake it again. One word of caution: go slowly in adding the crystals. You can always add more but if you put in too much it will not be a pleasant experience.

I have a bottle of Mennen Green Tonic, which I added four menthol crystals, and is the aftershave of hot days ...


Leaves you incredible coolness in the face.

Yep add one at a time and leave for a day before deciding if you need to add more. 4 crystals seems to be about right for me per 100mls YMMV of course.

If you melt the crystals in glycerin, just enough to cover them, you can add a drop at a time and shake it up. You will know instantly if you need to add more. It is hard to go to strong when adding a drop or two at a time.

They melt in a hurry, wont probably take more than 10-12 seconds.
