Matcha (...tastes like ground up tea leaves)

While I relish the thought of drinking tea in its fullest form (consumption of the ground tea leaves), I cannot get past the profound "green" taste.

Anyone have suggestions on matcha preparation to accommodate/balance matcha's flavor profile?

For example, cookies sound like a good idea. Any other nice ideas for cooking with or preparing matcha?

Thanks and Cheers! :thumbup1:

Thanks for the remedial lesson in phpBB search!

That is a great thread. The most informative on the topic in this forum.

However, my preparation in this manner yields a result that challenges my pallette. I want to like it, but sooo green.

The idea of using some milk is a good one.

Cheers!

I walked right into that one, I suppose.

Like stepping in front of a tractor trailer in traffic!
May have to try some of that matcha one day. Maybe when I run out of pu-erh to try. Hmmm... how long do you think that might take?

Lets just say that, once again, having the correct tool (matcha whisk) for the job (whisking matcha) makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!!! :a52:

Thick, rich, creamy, multidimensional flavors and powerful strong. Like being shot out of a cannon! :yikes:

Johnny Likey!!! :ihih:
