That is not the purpose of the game.I've been using Gillette Perma-Sharp's almost exclusively since then, and I think they're a step up from the Astra's.
...if you had to recommend a single blade to 100 people with the goal of maximizing the number who found that blade to be good (not necessarily great), what blade would you recommend?
This type of response isn't necessary. B&B has always been a casual and informal conversation forum about wet shaving and other topics, where conversations are open to a variety of comments. I wasn't that far off topic. I would still recommend Perma Sharp for the question. That is not the purpose of the game.

I would too! This type of response is not necessary. It's a subjective question, and I think all are entitle to their opinions or how they would like to engage in the conversation. I would still recommend Perma Sharp for the question.
My apologies if my post offended you. It came a bit blunt, I admit. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. This type of response isn't necessary...
I need to buy some of these the next time I get some free coupon stuff from CVS.... Might bring them down to a reasonable price point.King C. Gillette
They may well be. My truly favorite blade is the Gillette Platinum Plus made in Brazil. Sadly they have become unobtainium. Though I still have 100 or so left. The KCG is identical as far as I can tell. You are right though, they are a bit on the expensive side. I have a bunch of GSBs, but I dont find them to be nearly as good. I dont really care for them, to be honest.I need to buy some of these the next time I get some free coupon stuff from CVS.... Might bring them down to a reasonable price point.
Then I can know for myself if they are basically a Gillette Platinum clone.
