Never thought the topic would be broached here, but since it's come up...


I came within one error of pitching a perfect game in Little League. My second baseman pulled a Buckner on a dribbler (and felt worse about it than I did). Otherwise, over the six-inning game, I fanned 17 and caught a popup for the final out.

Couldn't resist sharing, sorry.

But hey, doing it in the majors is entirely different, of course. Hats off, indeed.
