March Photo Challenge : Water

This months theme is water. Interpret this however you want just include water in your shot. Some suggestions would be a body of water, rain, closeup of a water drop, boats or animals in the water, ripples of water, or whatever else you can think of.

• the winner of the previous month's challenge picks a new theme and starts the thread.
• You must be the photographer.
• One entry per month.
• Try and make the image a recent one, within reason.
• The competition/challenge/assignment runs until the 24th of the Month.
• Voting runs from the 25th to the 29th.
• The person with the most votes is the winner.

My entry for March. Taken last Friday morning, it was -3C and just cold enough that the splash was freezing. Tweaked colour, light and definition a little with Photos. Lots of great pictures this month.

This is a hard one, so many good entries! I'm afraid I won't break the tie. I like Mr or Ms gator in #11.

Tough one - I really like #2; the orange eye, the almost silver wing feathers and the ripples in the water, but I am also a sucker for stand-alone trees, silhouettes and reflections, so with a very small margin, my vote goes to #8.
