#1: Super hydrated Tabac is super slick and provides excellent cushion.
#2: In my opinion the Old Type razor could be on a desert island finalist list.
#3: This was one of the easiest BBS finish for me with no irritation.

Post-shave: Nivea 2-in-1 Aftershave

* I'm out! I noticed one of the local shops had Nivea Men Shaving Creme (100 Years Edition), which I've never tried, so bought a tube of it on impulse.

It's easy to lather, and shave performance is fine. The post-shave is maybe a bit dryer than with SV or MWF.

Aw, bummer. If you're going to go out - especially on an "anniversary edition" - we hope it's for a stellar product. It sounds like this one fell a tad short.

The only MdC I have is the Rose. The scent fills the den in a few seconds every time I open the jar.
If I were not in restraint...I would get the Fougere and Vetyver.

It's become my favorite soap.

Been very low on energy due to post-covid. Can't seem to get much done these days.
Finally managed to shave beard and skull after SEVEN days.
Two strokes, minor touch ups and slippery silky skin.
This equipment was used:

* Karve Christopher Bradley Solid Bar G Plate

No need to beat the clock, so had a leisurely near-BBS

I think yesterday's Nivea was their standard shaving cream with 100th anniversary packaging, rather than a one-off formulation. Perfectly good stuff, with a slight time saving over hard soaps, but does not out-perform them.

Brush: Vintage Ever Ready pure badger - original knot

Pre-shave: Hot shower using liquid Dual original on face and head with facial scrubber

Lather: Erasmic soap
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements blue/white

Passes: 2

Post Shave Routine and products:
1 - Hot rinse with microfiber towel X2
2 - Cold rinse with microfiber towel X1
3 - Alum block
4 - Cold rinse with microfiber towel X1
5 - Aftershave - 4711 edt
6 - Balm: Nivea sensitive skin

Time from shower on to dressed and ready: 61 min

NOTES: I added too much water to the lather so I put on the thin lather and then face lathered after reloading the brush. One small nic on the top of the ear bur no big deal. Little to no feedback from the alum or 4711. This is only the 3rd time using the Erasmic soap and realized it smells almost exactly like the 4711 so that is how today's aftershave was selected.
Quality: 9.5/10
Comfort: 9.5/10
Enjoyment: 9.0/10 due to the lather good up
Overall: 9.33/10
Very acceptable shave
