I received a bunch of samples from our favorite soapmaker. What I don't know and can't find an answer in is using it. Basically, I need to know if I'm supposed to melt the sample down first or not.

You can melt in a container (gently - about 5 sec in the microwave) - or you can use as a very small shave stick by just rubbing them on your beard and face lathering.

Tried the "shave stick" idea. Not so much, as there wasn't enough to really get a good grip on it. Going to try the meltdown tomorrow.
