Mama Bear's recommendations?

Hi all,

Was gonna buy a few Mama Bear's on Friday...I was wondering if you guys had any that you really like from there. I was thinking that I'd try the Awakenings (need a stiff shot of cold menthol in the mornings to wake up) and the Northwoods Forest one (I love woodsy/pine scents). Anyone tried these? Any others I need to get?

I love the Awakenings... definitely a nice shot of menthol. Lime Ice is ok I also have christmas forest which is nice in the fall and the holidays...

Also QCS Vostok is extremely cold and a nice complement to a morning workout.

I have quite a few, but my favorites are Autumn Lodge, creme brulee and toasted coconut. The rosemary mint is pretty nice on a summer morning as well...

I am a big fan MB Vanilla Musk, I find the scent very soothing.

Unfortunately, she has too many to chose from. I'm a big fan of Lime Ice. I also picked up Lemon Ice, but I find that it's not as citrusy as the lime. Lime Cilantro is nice as well, with a bit of a peppery aroma, and I also am a big fan of her Bay Rum. I suspect you'll be happy with whatever you go with, and if you're not, let me know, I'll trade with you.

Northwoods is nice...the Hinoki Wood is awesome!

Ye Olde Barber Shoppe seems to get a lot of attention, but I haven't tried it, yet.

I have used her Aged Spice (Old Spice type) and Brute (Brut type) shave soaps. The fragrance is true to what they are trying to replicate and they seem to lather well in the hard water at my apartment. I'm half afraid to take them somewhere with soft water for fear that the lather explosion could be deadly in a confined space.

Orange Orange and Energy have a nice citrus smell, but I have only tried them in bath soaps. I can only assume their shaving soap counterparts will be similarly scented and work as well as the shaving soaps above.

I have yet to try a Mama Bear's that disagrred with me. Scentwise, pick what you like and you're good to go. Northwoods and Hinoki Wood are great, as is Ye Olde Barbershoppe. One option is to buy a sampler pack or two and go nuts sniffing stuff! Enjoy!

pheonix rising, polynisian red, dragons blood are all my favorite scents in shaving supplies period..... nothing imo is better to smell than a jar of her soap

For something a little different try there Masonic Lodge. It's a different smell but nice. Also, you can't go wrong with Aged Spice or Ye Olde Barbershoppe.

Samples are the way to go. She has so many scents.

My favs are the lavender and bergamot natural EO soaps. Her lavender is really nice, very earthy. The bergamot is a great citrus scent, at first I thought it smelled just like tangerines. When lathered, however, the scent turns into something really different, very woodsy/herbal.

As for fragrance soaps northwoods if you like wood/pine is pretty nice.

Hinoki Woods indeed, very nice scent.

Cannot go wrong with Ye olde Barbershoppe either.

I also love the ICEs, either Grapefruit Ice or Rose Ice.

I personally Like the toasted coconut and Dragons Blood. Honestly thou I doubt she makes a bad soap.

+1 there are so many amazing options, so the best thing to do is sample as much as you can

Sue makes good soaps but you may want to hurry before she decides to close up shop for real this time.
