So I made the switch over to Ammonium Alum based deodorant and I couldn't be happier. I always sweat through anti-perspirants anyway, so what was the point really? The deodorant properties of the rock work really well AND this thing should last a year. Win and Win.

I did the same a few weeks ago, with the same results. It's great but doesn't seem to work for everyone from what I hear. Glad I discovered a cheap alternative to that shirt-ruining, smelly, and expensive antiperspirant/deodorant.

I was quite surprised by the results. I'm a heavy sweater and often have deodorant fails. I was sweating my hiney off in the heat this weekend and I was still soaking wet, but didn't stink!

I use potassium alum before and after I shave and use it as a deodorant. BUT, I must use one for my face and a different one for my pits. I am just funny that way!

Me too! I started using it this winter and figured I'd go back to Gillette Clinical when it go hot out, but I don't see a need. It's been in the 90's and humid for a couple of weeks here and I'm sweating, but no stink or stains. Another plus is that it doesn't cause irritation for me which most deodorants/antiperspirants have done.

I usually get a rash if I wear Antiperspirants too often so I was afraid that the aluminum in the rock would do the same thing. It feels GREAT!
I still sweat which helps keep me cool but it doesn't stink at all so nobody else notices it. And there is no smell so it doesn't interfere with my cologne. I hate buying a $70 bottle of cologne for the special occasions and all anyone can smell is the $3 deodorant.
