Thanks guys,
so it was worth the sweat... I have been using straights for nine years now. This one is my favorite, a 6/8 made from Kayser-Ellison steel, extra hollow ground, which makes quite a noise.

Wow, nice video! Interesting doing the half face relather rather than finish a pass then relather. Any particular reason? I'm gonna have to try that sometime.
