What's new

Made a knife tonight out of a railroad spike

Very, very cool

My maternal grandfather made my dad a double edged fighting knife from a file to take to Vietnam. I was honestly disappointed that he didn’t pass it down to me when it was my turn. I asked him a couple years ago if he still had it and he does. My only hope is that I’ll get it from his wife after he dies. I want it because my grandfather made it. If I had a son, I’d pass it down. My girls won’t be interested.

I’ve been addicted to Forged in Fire for a while now. Blacksmithing is high on my list if I ever won the lottery and could afford a bigger shop. Great job on your knife, I’m truly envious.

Jeez, I can't even put a decent edge on a knife much less make one. When mine get dull, I buy a new one. Tis sad, I know.
