A good friend of mine is from India and he owns a couple of grocery stores here in town and he recently returned from a trip to India to visit relatives. He’s also into traditional wetshaving and he brought me back a couple of tubes of this Lyko cream which he says is very popular over there and used by a lot of Indian barbers. A few days ago I tried this cream for the first time and I must say that I was very pleased. Scent wise it’s a mix of aqua with minty notes, it comes out of the tube a bit thickly but a wet brush softens it up fast, a small amount on both cheeks is enough to produce thick, rich, creamy lather, it’s pleasantly mentholated, and it leaves a very smooth, comfortable postshave feeling. My friend told me that if I enjoyed it he’ll keep me supplied with it full time and I think I’ll take him up on his offer!
