What's new

Lupo stainless?

• A spare Razorock HD handle
( yes ,it WAS an HD handle !)
• The head of a 316L stainless steel
4,8 mm blind rivet (polished).
• One M3 small 316L allen bolt (polished)
• A section of a thick bamboo
drinking straw.
• A mini-lathe.
• 2-part epoxy glue.

Et voila !

I’ve rather large hands ,
so I needed a longer handle
for my Lupo 95.
But I wanted to be as
featherlight as possible .
Have to wait a day or so ,
for the epoxy to cure ,
in order to try it out.

But just holding it and...air-shaving
with it ,oh yeah ,feels really great !

Used my Lupo .72 for the first time today, very happy and impressive.

Giddy-yup!

made the most of my RazoRock-branded order with the Italian Barber, and got both SB plates, soap/AS, and my first synth.

Debuted the .72 for my first test-drive.
Balzano blade.

Very Good! I do think that I will appreciate amping-up the aggression with the .95 for my next shave in a few days.
The Halo 2pc handle is heavier than I expected, for how short it is.
I like it, but a lighter handle (as SCh5 suggests...) might be the better match.
(maybe the Titanium Halo? at 1.7oz vs 2.1)

The Firenze soap/as, and the plissoft synth performed very well!

Firenze lathered easily and was nice and thick. Scent is a good balance. Camphor isn't too overpowering. Vanilla is stonger in the AS than the soap.
It's a scent very different than anything else I won. A good addition to the rotation...

The Plissoft is my first synth. I still enjoy natural bristles (badger or boar) more,
but it's a nice switch for variety sake.

The .95 came in yesterday. I'm in agreement with most everyone else here in that it's a very well made tool with tight tolerances and precise fitment of all components. Quality work for such a bargain of a pricetag.

I'm still working with my Aluminum Timeless for the rest of this week but, I'm looking forward to putting the .95 Lupo through its paces once the Timeless is done......

Looking forward to your reviews Gus.

How is the scent of that soap?

It is very unique.
The soap scent is pretty mild, and not overpowering in any way.

It really is a good mix of scents, and I get exactly what RazoRock describes:
Scent: Tabacco Toscano Colonia; think Toscano cigar with hints of vanilla, amber and a backdrop of eucalyptus and menthol.

The matching AS is stronger overall, a bit "smoky", and stronger vanilla.

.95 today.
I like this better than the .72.
Definitely more "blade feel" but also
more efficient, and no increase in "bite" in my experience.
and, if this is possible, *less* irritation, than the .72?
(I think that I may fall into the trap of pressing to hard with milder heads?)
