Love of mild razors. A.K.A. Help me pick what's next!

I've grown to love mild razors. I love not worrying about nicks and still coming away with a clean, three pass BBS shave. I currently have topping my list a Gillette Fatboy set at a 3, an iKon OSS, and a 40's Tech. I'm looking into more mild mannered razors and would like some help deciding.

Criteria, it needs to be on the heftier side and the handle can't be too long. The OSS is pushing it for me for handle length comfort. I'm looking at a Gillette HD Rocket, the Feather AS, and the Wilkinson Sticky. All highly regarded and well made razors. As a side note, I've tried both the Weber ARC and the 40's Aristocrat but wasn't particularly fond of them.

Thanks B&B!

Feather All Stainless all the way! Mate I have a "nice" selections of razors but it's my Feather AS that gets more air time than any other razor. With a a Feather blade, it removes a heavy beard like hot knife cutting through butter. One just needs to give it time and learn the "sweet spot" meaning a completely different angle to the vintage Gillettes and other modern razors.

It's 90 grams of stainless heft and it's by far the most beautiful razor I have had the pleasure to use. Fantastic finish and balance as well. Faultless.

A Gillette Super Speed should fit the bill for what you are looking for. They have a nice weight due to the Razor head and the handle is about the size of a Tech.

I was going to recommend the Super Speed also, especially the flair tip. That's what I use for 3 pass BBS. BUT, you did mention you wanted a heftier handle. Try a Red Tip Super Speed. It's beefier but a little more aggressive than the Flair Tip but it may be good for you.

40's Aristocrat would have been my first recommendation, but you've already tried that. In that case, I'd second the recommendation on the Red Tip Super Speed.

Grab a Schick Krona. You can pick them up for next to nothing and they are a great mild razor. No one ever talks about them but they are superb.

Interesting, so the 50's Aristocrats have a different head geometry than the 40's? They look very close to me, but I've never actually tried a 50's version.
I've always felt that the late 50's Aristocrat family of razors paralleled the 50's super speed in mildness. In the same way, the 40's super speeds were more aggressive, as were the 40's 'crats.

I heartily recommend the Muhle R101 with the old R41 head (not the R41 2011 head); or its cousin the Muhle R89. By far the most mild and trouble-free shave I've experienced, together with Gillette adjustables.

Last week, I compared the 40's Superspeed and the UK Rocket version of the 40's Superspeed. Also looked up the razor listings by blade gap. The Rocket sounds like a good one for you, it's milder than the US SS, and it also is heftier, more well-made, very nice razor. I have the non-HD one, don't know what else it's called, but the HD should be better still.

Wilkinson Sword Classic - the black plastic one - gave me a closer shave than my 1956 Gillette Tech, despite being nearly as mild.

Renato

Wow, this is more responses than I expected. For those who suggested the Red Tip, I've actually just started using one to see if I like it. So far it's not bad, but I want to explore more options. I also have a DE89 and an all stainless Black Tip Super Speed which are waiting to be tried out as well. The Allure of the Feather AS is a strong one though.
