Lost My Favorite Prera

I was going through the TSA checkpoint at the airport on Friday when they had a glitch. One of the little circular containers tipped over in the X-Ray machine, somebody's watch, phone and wallet got stuck inside the machine and the line got backed up. It took them a while to get it fixed and clear everybody's bags. I got my stuff and headed for the plane. When I got to my hotel, I noticed that my Prera was no longer in the loop inside my bag where I had slipped it. I don't think anybody deliberately removed it--there was better stuff to steal--but it probably got jostled out. I usually keep my pens in a case zipped up inside my bag, but I had written something in my memo book when I first got to the airport and didn't want to go to the trouble of tearing everything apart to put it away. Sigh. I really liked that Prera too. Fortunately, I have a couple more waiting untouched at home. Oh well--I'll be more careful from here on out.

Aw, shucks, those are really nice little pens.

I carry mine in my pocket and it always unnerves me to see my nice pens riding along in the tray heading in and out of the x-ray machine. They are the first things I pick up and put back in my shirt pocket.

Perversely, I hope that somebody in the TSA crew finds it and puts it in their pocket. It needs a good home. I hate to think of it in a cardboard box with nail clippers, folding knives, sea turtles and bottles of duty-free brandy, just waiting to be hauled off to some giant TSA warehouse like in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
