Lost my BBE need a replacement

I left my blade and badger essential at the gym yesterday and the cleaning people threw it out. I'm looking for a replacement daily use brush with creams. I loved the BBE but would like something a wee bit smaller.

Ideally I would keep it to around $75.

I am not going to ask what one does with a shaving brush in a Gym but I am sorry to hear they "threw" it away. If you see any of the cleaning crew faceturbating you know who took your brush

Man...that's a sad tale my friend. I'd take the Rooney 1/1. I don't know how big the BBE is, but the 1/1 is my daily user...

I would be very very disappointed if I lost that brush. So it goes (as KV would say.) You have some superb recs here in the Shavemacs and Rooneys. (no exp. here with the Vulfix). There is no question though, if you get one of the Shavemacs or Rooney's from either of these vendors, you will not be disappointed, on the contrary, you will be delighted!

Thanks for all the tips. The BBE was my every day brush, I also have a huge Shavemac that is my weekend brush. I'm leaning toward the Rooney, going to wait till Monday and call vintageblades.

You won't be disappointed.

The only brush that comes to mind as another option would be the QED Select line: I just got my first, and honestly, think I like their best even a little better than my BBE--and I really (really) like my BBE.

I called Jim and went with the Rooney 1/1. Its just what I was looking for. Also, I got some of Jim's new shave cream which is doing just great, lots of cushion and glide. The only thing I've found with the cream is it burns my face a bit.
