Lord variety?

Got one of those megapaks of a variety of blades. Of these the Personnas, Gilettes (green and yellow), Feathers, Derbys and a few others seem to be the good ones. Then there is no end to these brands whose names I never seem to see here. Shark, etc. I have noticed about half a dozen different varieties from Lord. Anyone have thoughts on this line?

I have used Lord Super Stainless and Shark Super Chromes from the Lord stable. The Shark SC's are my absolute favorite (sharp, smooth, and just "click" for me). The Lord SS are pretty darn good too, just don't work quite as well as the Sharks for me but they are right up there in my top 3-5 blades.

I have been interested in trying out some of the other offerings from Lord but it is pretty difficult to find many of them at a reasonable cost. Brands like Racer, Big Ben, Asco, Crown and Rainbow just don't seem readily availible at a reasonable cost, especially when I can get the Sharks for $16 per 100 and the Lords can be found for $10-12 per 100.

They get both love and hate here. As with about any blade.

Using the search function and checking the review section should give the info you are looking for. Lord and Shark are mentioned frequently but I have seen posts about Asco, Racer and Big Ben as well.

With blades, everyone has different experiences as you know, but it's especially true for Lord blades (at least from what I've read on here). Some people swear by the Lord Super Stainless while others would rather shave lawn mower. Their blades all shave differently except maybe the Shark Super Chrome and Shark Super Stainless (most people say that they are the exact same blade) and the Lord Platinum Class and Lord Super Chrome. Bottom line is that they make good blades and with so many variations, there's a good chance that you'll find something you like :)

I agree; I could easily live in a world with no other producer than Lord. They make my #1 blade (Lord Super Stainless) and I like some more of their blades as well.
