Lord copies another blade?

The name inside that inverted "W," faux-Wizamet logo is Sotraco, same name on the back of a carton of Sharks. I believe Sotraco is an international trading partner/subsidiary of Lord.

Looks like the same ol' Racer blade inside. Far cry from an Iridium. I like my Shark blades, but I doubt the Racer blade is as good.

Lord makes a nice copy of the Tech razor, but that item was taken out of production by Gillette over 35 years ago.

Lord also makes the Big Ben blades, but I don't really see the copying part of it all .

Um...yeah, I totally don't see it either...

Why do they have two very different wrappers for this blade? The first wrapper is just fine, while the second one comes very close to IS.
Not only that, but there are two other Racers, one in a grey wrapper and one in a blue wrapper.

I'm not sure what the difference is, because out of the wrapper there are no distinguishing marks, the ink stamps on the blade just say "RACER" and "Super Stainless"(Like all Lord blades). The Racer in this knock-off packaging looks the same too.

Not unlike the Dorco ST-300 vs. ST-301 phenomenon. These blades look identical out of the wrapper, yet they have different grinds, and the 301 is definitely better for me.

I received one grey Racer as a sample with an order over a year ago, and started shaving with it this morning. The shave was OK, but nothing special. I'll use it through Saturday, and then go back a Shark or one of my other favorite blades.

As always with blades, YMMV.

What I find interesting is that the website shows 3-hole blades. Now that would be nice to get for some of the older razors! Anyone know if they are selling them stateside?

Wow, it's like the 70's all over again.

I can't think of a more ugly packaging scheme to copy. Dumb. They should have copied Wilkinson's LB packaging or Gillette's Platinum (Swede) colors.
