Nice brownish-butterscotch, you make a nice find and good choice to restore it with an updated nylon. I will be interested to hear about your experience with the TGN synth, as we haven't seen too many reviews on them. Congratulations!

I used the Lord Chesterfield/Carrington today as part of a truly vintage shave. It did a superb job with the Coate's cream.

I received a box of Gillette Super Stainless Steel “Spoilers” with my Ball End Tech some time back. I used one for the first time today. I slipped it into my New SC, lathered up with the discontinued Coate’s cream using my vintage Lord Chesterfield brush that GDCarrington built for me. What a GREAT shave! I finished up old school with Clubman.

How is the knot performing after 6 months of use?

Terrific! It takes some getting used to, as with most synthetics, but I like it. It requires very little "pressure" on my face.
