Greetings. I love Trumpers sandalwood skin food, and want an aftershave with the same scent. They don't make one, but is any other version similar to their scent? I have heard that D. R. Harris is a bit dry, which is not what I want. How about Taylor's? Thanks!

Taylor's is not all that similar to the Trumper. Taylor has florals going on and a dry, snappy sandalwood, not the sweeter, vanilla-tinged thing Trumper does. I'd say there aren't many that sweet in the aftershave category. You might look at Floris Santal aftershave splash. Spendy but this is actually very similar to Trumper Sandalwood, though it has a bit more pepper in it.
The TOBS does smell great but it isn't a solid match for you. However, it is my favorite sandalwood AS.
Honeybee Gardens Sandalwood has a really nice sandalwood fragrance and is inexpensive

If not for the high cost of sandalwood oil I would attempt to make my own. I might try the DR Haris version though. I like their other scents. As for the other brands listed, I have not heard of them, but I should look them up!
I've got a $40 bottle of pure Mysore sandalwood oil (therapeutic grade) that I purchased with the intention of making my own AS splash but I have no idea where to start. I'll make you a deal.... you tell me a good recipe and I'll make a bottle for you and one for me.
