I'm not new to wet shaving per say however, I've only done it with a cartridge razor(I do use a brush and cup). But, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a good starting straight because that is where I plan to go. I've been wanting to for years but I didn't know anything about it so I pushed it to a back seat I say no longer. If anyone could offer some advice it would be great.

You can usually get a Wapi pretty cheap for 40 or 50 dollars, but you will eventually want to upgrade. You could also get something like a Dovo for about twice that and not need to get another straight for a while.
I have this one you can take off my hands, I can ship it tomorrow.
