I'd suggest the SimpleCleanShave razor. It's a smooth, mild razor that is very effiecent. It's a one man show cranking them out in his little machine shop for a very good price. It looks like he's taking a break for Christmas.

My ‘daily driver’ is a Wolfman WR1 SB, the razor that killed my RAD!! Depending on your taste and budget, the WR2 is also worth considering.

I have tried many razors prior and was in the same boat. I randomly got a Merkur r89 in and loaded a feather in it and I think I’m good with any other razors.
