looking for blades

I've been tossing around the idea of making a seven day set.
I was wondering what type of blades would work best for this kind of project.
Wapi, Dovo, TI...something else?
I'm not really wanting to restore any of the blades.

What do you guys think?

Since you want a seven day set, I'd go for something cheaper, so wapi's sound good to me, plus everyone always say they need better scales

You say making a seven day set. Do you mean actually making the razors and scales? If you are going to accumulate 7 razors to use for each day of the week that's one thing but it's not a seven day set. A seven day set is a match group marked for each day of the week.

Maybe you could get some Gold Dollar razors from Ruprazor? Telly used to sell Wapis, but I think his connection sold out so getting 7 matching ones may be hard - at the the GD's seem to be abundant.

Well.. the point would be because it's cool. *grin*
No, I'm not going to forge the blades. I tend to leave ferris work to the bladesmith and brightwork to the silverwright.
I do plan on having the days of the week on the set, and use a simular motif on all the scales while keeping each one a bit different.
I just haven't decided wether to go with collecting a vintage set, modern set, or a mix of different razors of a simular grind.
I haven't thought of what to put them in yet. *smile*

If you are going to be customizing them much, I'd say go with Gold Dollar razors. Then have them fnorded to taste (thumb notched, jimped, etc.) and etched with the days of the week. Then add your own scales.
