Looking for an aftershave

I currently do not use aftershave but feel now after sorting my technique out my skin can take an aftershave. I live in onion and just want a reliable aftershave. I use EDT everyday on chest and neck. Are the Adidas AS any good? Or how about the Nivea? Thanks

Hi.
I use proraso splash aftershave & GFT lime skinfood both very nice
Sometimes i use a cologne as an aftershave after using my allum block. I dont think there is a big differance between cologne & aftershave but not sure. My colognes i use Alpa Red carnation & TOBS victorian lime both very nice

I love Bay Rum. Captain's Choice is my favorite, followed by Ogalla, then Clubman, then Masters. And it should overpower the onion smell.
PS: I live in House. Yes, House as in House, MS.

Depends on whether you are looking for an aftershave splash or balm,or both.
My favorites are Proraso after shave (in the clear bottle),Every Man Jack Post Shave Lotion,Clinique Post Shave Healer,Skin Bracer,Osage Rub.
Niveas balms are great too.And some good affordable splashes like Gillettes Cool Wave ,Stetson,Clubman are good too.
Never tried bay rum,so I cant really give an opinion on that.

One that I find to be my very best, I use it less frequently because of my unfortunately tight budget in recent times...I LOVE the scent and it works wonderfully is PLATINUM ÉGOÏSTE by Chanel. Extremely good after shave moisturizer, if you have the budget go for it you wont be sorry. Other than that in my current revolving door of products are the more affordable...Proraso after balm...Pinaud makes an excellent AS, their original is my fave. Experament and see what you like, it need not always be highly priced to smell and work great but it is at times a consideration.

+1 to Proraso and the skinfood.

A "proper" AS should contain WH or allantoin or glycerin; you know those products that soothe and heal shaved skin.

Most colognes skip those ingredients and just add fragrance to alcohol.

The Boots Freshwood range is pretty hard to beat and is as cheap as chips too. They do a balm and splash. Both products compliment each other really well. Rinse with cold water, a little Freshwood Balm let it soak in and then add some of the Freshwood splash. Lovely.

I've been using Platinum Egoiste for years. I prefer the "Made in France" bottles versus "NY" but maybe that's all in my head. I have gotten it mainly off the Bay but even there it's not cheap. And I did get one fake bottle but the seller refunded my money. You can buy it off the Chanel site for around $79.00 I think. Off the Bay, maybe $55 if you're lucky...but only buy from a good seller with a good return policy.

My only issue with Egoiste is it's scent is short-lived...but for an AS it's very good.
