Looking for Adjustable DE shaver recommendations for newbie

I started DE shaving with a Fat Boy. I used it soley for 3-4 years before RAD his me last December. I've notice prices on Fat Boys has been going up 5 bucks every week since mid December on our favorite auction site. I like using Feathers with my Gillettes to up the efficiency since my beard is so tough. I think I settled on 7 with a Feather for my Fat Boy, my Slim I haven't used as much since it arrived with my RAD and a bunch of DEs, SE's, and a CJB.
