Looking for a trench coat

I'd like to pick up a stylish trench coat. Here in the Pacific Northwest we get a fair amount of rain. I'd like a coat that's stylish enough for business, but that can take a bit of abuse. I'm a little bit rough on my clothes. Appreciate any tips. Cheers!

I wouldn't change my Aquascutum for anything! Fairly easy to find on ebay...

Funny enough, I was looking at some trenches today too. Right now, I'm interested in a Barbour Maclennan Trench or Outrider. But when I was looking up those coats, I found this link:

Maybe it will be useful for you? I thought it was pretty interesting at least.

THIS WAS A BAD, BAD IDEA!
I visited the above link, clicked on a picture of a trench coat and was taken to a site that wanted to sell me an ATT phone. If this was supposed to be a joke, it's not a good one. I would like to know what the idea is of posting a link like this on this site. In the meantime, I just wanted to caution all other members not to click on the link above until and unless this is cleared up.

not a trench coat but a peacoat by Hugo Boss. I like.

I assure this was no joke. When you click the link, it takes you to an article called "Ballin’ vs. Budget: 12 Trench Coats For Fall 2009" It has 12 trench coats that are separated into six themes. It shows you an expensive version of the trench coat and a less expensive version that is similar looking.

As PeterBS mentioned, the link does work. I've also attached a screenshot of the website to further confirm it's validity. I hypothesize that your browser resolution settings are set at a lower resolution and as a result, the site's layout appears incorrectly and the advertisements all appear before the article (you might have to scroll down like PeterBS said).

Hopefully you will be able to access the site and I hope it's useful to you in any way.

I have a 5.11 trench coat that I believe was designed by Brooks Brothers. It was developed with executive protection and undercover work in mind. Lots of secret squirrel hidden pockets. If you can still find one, I'd recommend it. It has a detachable suede collar so you can change the look in a flash.

If you look on eBay, there are Burberry trench coats for less. But it can be tricky. They start out cheap but in the last hour some of them jump up to several hundred dollars.

I had a vintage Burberry I found in an Op-Shop. I agree with the quality, but man, they are ridiculously expensive new. I sold mine on ebay for the quick profit, bought myself a London Fog, and pocketed the change. The LF is fine, for the amount I wear it. People still call me Inspector Gadget when I do, so I have to pick my occasions.

I'd rather go for inexpensive and durable, than pricey and "fashion". That leaves Burberry out of the mix for me.

Actually, I got a Ralph Lauren trench from Sierra Trading Post a few years ago, and was quite impressed with the quality/thickness of the material, and the various buttoning details and such.
