Looking for a stiff brush

Hi all it's Dave from NJ,

Ive just started wet shaving with a DE shaver and LOVE it.

I have a Simpson Duke 3 brush which I know is a good brush, but I would like something stiffer.

When I load up, swirl/mix in the mug to create the lather and apply to my face; the brush just seems too "flimsy" so I'm asking what would you recommend as a stiffer brush that won't spread so easily and will stand up to more pressure?

Thanks,

Dave

The stiffest brush I own is my Simpsons Beaufort B4 pure badger. Nothing comes in second place.... it is that stiff. There is a Simpsons B3 on BST right now http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php/321375-Two-Straights-One-CBJ-3-Brushes

The B & B essential Boar brush! As soon as the next run is available... But in the meantime you could consider Boar brushes. I have become a big fan of them.

Thanks for the replies.

I just ordered an Omega 2012 which I was told was a very stiff brush. Let's see if that does the trick.

thats pretty stiff.but after break in dont they soften up?

All of the boar brushes that I have owned are rather soft after they break in.

About the only one I "think" might not would be the Semogue 2011 LE in style #1 (short loft).

It was too much brush for me and I could never get it to break in. Stayed stiff. Sold it on BST.
