Looking for a longer lasting alternative to John Varvatos/Vintage

Hey B&B. I've sampled both of these fragrances many times; I have trouble smelling either of them for longer than 2-3 hours after applying. Can anyone suggest a similar scent with better longevity? Thank you.

I think you might just be used to them at that point, I wear vintage and have no problem with the staying power. A good 6 to 8 hours no problem.

I have JV Vintage and love it.

The first time I sampled it I could smell it the next day. Now I only get 2-3 hours, but I'm guessing it might be because I'm used to it.

Christian, I've only sampled it and have heard some people compare it to Polo. I can agree with this overall, based on my memory of the sampling. Polo lasts a very long time on me (too long according to my wife ). Good luck.

Christian,

Can you have a third party give you a sniff at the end of the day to see if they can smell it? I have longevity issues with lots of fragrances, but Vintage lasts all day on me. I can't smell it very well myself by the end of the day, but my girlfriend loves it after 8+ hours on me.

I'll get some outsider opinions. My girlfriend doesn't like Vintage, and she can't smell it after a few hours either--when I've come and gone, not just sitting next to each other--so I don't think I'm going crazy just yet. Thanks for the input!

One more way that I was told (and it worked for me) was to put some on your wrist when you go to bed at night. Sniff your wrist in the morning. If you can smell it, it has lasted. Good luck.

I don't remember having any problems with lasting power with John Varvatos, it might be a case of olfactory fatigue
