Looking for a darker gray ink....

Finally got around to trying out my sample of Noodler Lexington Gray today. A nice true gray color that flows wonderfully in one of my Esterbrook SJ's with a 9668 nib. Smooth and dries fast. I just wish the color maybe had a little black in it so maybe it would be slightly darker.

Any suggestions of a dark gray ink to try with similar qualities?

Try adding a couple of drops of black to a small sample of your Lex Grey.

Yeah, if you have Noodler's black, just drop a bit in. Then you can adjust to your preferences.

De Atramentis Gaius Julius Caesar is my only gray ink, and seems pretty dark to me. Haven't used the Noodler's Lexington Gray, so can't compare directly. It's not advertised as water resistant, but in my own tests it is, if that's important to you.
