I've had one of the Sonic Wave cleaners. Wouldn't rate it as outstanding but it did work well until I filled it with almost boiling water. PHITTTT! I guess that triggered a fuse of some sort designed to keep it from overheating. Just my $32.99 (I have no idea where you would find one for $0.02) worth. I used it to help clean up my cartridge razor before it was put out to pasture (actually I put the razor in a drawer - but you know what I mean).

Thanks old! I thought exactly the same, to use it with hot water. I believe i'll decrease a little the temperature to a notch or two above "comfortable" hot water. We are talking of a piece of machinery of 30 bucks, we can not demand much of it.

Did you try to disassemble it?

They are not designed to use with hot water, and the directions will probably caution against it. It would take a professional model for hot cleaning solutions.
