Looking for a cheap temporary brush stand

I just received my custom brush & need to create/find a cheap & temporary stand for right now for the time being. What have you guys done to do this so it dries nicely?

I was going to order a cheapo acrylic stand for $5 off ebay, but must seem to only go to 29mm & with a good eye-ball line up, mine needs a 32mm opening (width is a heavy 1 1/4" )

I was planning on having a member here build me a stand that allows the brush AND razor to hang above the bowl, but now that I've been looking at bowl/brush stand combos it seems that the brush really needs all of the real estate to drip & trying to also hang the razor above the bowl would offset the brush and have possible drips outside of the circumference of the rim.

Does anyone know of a setup similar to this new Muhle with the large platter base? I've seen some stands have smaller disk shaped bases, but this is a much larger platter base that allows for the bowl to sit on it. Just looking for the stand, don't need the bowl.

I plan on mounting a piece of oak above sink, out of the way after auger and hole saw for razor and brush. A little cutting, drill sanding, routing the edges, stain and seal, convenient, space saving and over granite counter top but not high enough to damage if slip and fall. Cost, free, scrap wood, even if bought at Home Depot it would be maybe $1 for the Oak and I have plenty of stains, sealers and polyurethane.

Ahh great ideas with the coat hanger guys! Just what I needed.

This is a very expensive (to me $90) custom brush so I really want to take care of it & want the hair to hang down. I've heard/read that the knot can rot faster over time if flipped on its handle.

That is a myth, you can shake it out and place it hair up. The hair will dry either way.

Well I was worried about the knot but also the end handle has a huge piece of abalone about the size of a half dollar so I actually want to hang it & show it off. It's really sharp!

Ill try to get some pics.

And here is my brush and razor stand. Cost to me $0. I made it from a scrap piece of copper wire I had sitting around, and you could make it out of a coat hanger. Thinking now I have a shape that works to make it out of steel rod. (ignore my old ratty brush)
