L'Occitane/Tabac

Can anyone give me an idea of how the L'Occitane Cade soap performs compared to Tabac (a good benchmark soap, I think)? Obviously the scents are worlds apart; I'm thinking of lathering, moisturizing, etc. Thanks.

Lather is good, but not as good as Tabac. I think Cade is more moisturizing than Tabac, what with all that Shea Butter in there. It is a nice soap that I use every once in a while. Tabac definitely gets more love from me.

+1.

Cade is a great performer and I like the scent more, but I haven't found anything that works as well as Tabac soap.

IMHO Cade soap is a better prefomer for me. I enjoy Tabac (the scent took a few shaves to like) but find Cade much easier to lather and shave with.

I just finished up a week with Cade and personally, I think the lather I get from Tabac is a bit better but the scent from Cade beats Tabac hands down (YMMV)!

I would be happy using either soap for an extend period of time. They are both great but Tabac's lather is a bit better.

Cade is great! The scent is one of the best smelling scent's every! And, the performance is great and it is easy to lather.

I just can't take the smell of Tabac, nor can my wife. I don't understand how it gets so much love. But if you like the smell it does perform well.

Both are great performers. Period.

Now, TABAC is a bit easier to lather but

...I find it more refined in a way.:euro:

To me, TABAC would be a class E Mercedes, somewhat luxurious but still okay with everyday, see, a magnificent workhorse.
OTOH I would rate CADE more like an Aston Martin: the true luxury classy sportscar you love to treat yourself with.:a39:
