My thoughts exactly. Everything you say on the internet stays on the internet in one form or another. I don't want to make it easy by consolidating all the information for her in one place :a13:!

I'll say I started with a Merkur 20C and my latest was a Loew travel razor, with a double digit number in between. :001_rolle

That's Funny... on my 1911 Forum... Everyone lists how many, and which .45's they Own! :eek6:

Those cost quite a bit more, I'd have to have some assurances before I posted up, hahaha. I like sleeping in my own bed.
But in honesty my wife does support the terrible RAD, she knows there are razors coming to the house. She looked in the medicine cabinet last night and said, "Hmmm, looks like you've been busy, impressive." No one tell her to look in the linen closet. :001_302:

Wow that's quite a count in a year. I bought my first vintage razor a year ago tomorrow and thought I was doing well having acquired about 20 in the last year.... I'll have to step up a gear!

Over about 4 years:

Merkur 23c (from the now-defunct Lee's Razors), now on loan to Miss Linda
1962 Gillette Slim (eBay)
1956 Gillette Red Tip (eBay)
1953 Super Speed (the sales forum here)
Postwar, pre-date code, fat-handled Tech in gold (PIF from ShavedPanda)

I expect I'll probably get a Fat Boy one of these days, and a British Rocket. But right now, 4 razors into 12 shaves (over 14 days) works out neatly. (Yes, I know: if I buy 2 more razors, 6 goes into 12 just as neatly.)

Gillette aluminium/zamak Tech
Gillette aluminium ball end tech
Gillette brass ball end tech
Gillette regular fat handle tech
Gillette flat bottom fat handle tech
Gillette pre war triangle fat handle tech
Gillette Superspeed (made in USA)
Gillette Flair Tip Superspeed (USA)
Gillette 58TV special Superspeed
Gillette red tip Superspeed
Gillette Slim twist (flat handle)
Gillette Slim twist (round handle)
Gillette #58 set rocket
Gillette #77 rfb NEW
Gillette Old Type
Gillette NEW type
Gillette rfb NEW (3 piece)
Gillette sterling 7 o’clock plastic/zamak Tech
Wilkinson Sword Classic
Schick Krona
Feather popular

All purchased within about 2.5 years with most of them purchased within the last year.
I started with a Merkur 34c but gave it to a friend who wanted to try D/E.
I would like to add a slim or Fatboy to the collection then I think I will be done.

I would but getting ready for a massive reduction in razors in next week or 2. Recently decided to narrow down to hopefully 10 or less.

Merkur
Parker
ATT
Wolfman
Razorock
Timeless
Karve

That's about it. I've been jonesing for a Blackbird but I don't know if I'll ever pull the trigger. For the time being, I have to many as it is.

In 18 months I have acquired 45 DE’s in total, all vintages except 1 modern (Feather AS-D2). All good-very good condition, a few boxed sets.

29 Gillettes (16 Brits, 13 US)
16 non-Gillettes (British, German, French, US, and 1 Danish)

My acquisition speed is levelling out, am running out of interesting models to try. Also, I think my collection is big enough...

This is Amazing... Along with Northstonehill's Post... So much Vintage Iron... Seems to be what most favor...

Interesting I would have thought the Opposite... I own not one... "YET".

This is not in order of acquisition. I'd have to think too hard to come up with that. It's all been w/in the last 2 or 3 years, though. The only one I've had longer than that is the Merkur 34C. That was the DE I bought first a long time ago and kept going back to.

I really need to update that -- long weekend, carpal tunnel, etc. :001_unsur

Mine is much shorter than most.
1. Paradigm 17-4
2. Colonial General SS (this is an SE razor)
3. Dollar General Assured razor ($1 cheapo razor)
4. Rex Ambassador (on the way in a couple week)

1. Edwin Jagger DE89
2. Merkur 25c
3. PAA BOCS
4. RR Old Type
5. RR German 37
6. Fatip Retro Gold
7. Ming Shi 2000S
8. RR Teck II
9. 1920 Gillette Old Type
10. Lord Fresh
11. Nanjie TTO (eBay)
12. $2 Chinese Razor (eBay)

I did all that damage in the first 6 months. I cooled out for a while, but now I'm looking at all these new razors with envy. I'm trying not to binge on a RR SLOC, RR GC, Karve C or D, Timeless Bronze SB, etc etc etc

Well, let's see. I've kept it pretty tame;

PAA Symmetry Open Comb
PAA DOC Evolution
Merkur 34c
Gillette G-4 Slim
Gillette F-4 Toggle
Schick Krona
GEM Micromatic Open Comb

And 3 straights that to keep me on my toes!

In order of frequency of usage:

RR Mamba
Mergress
Fatboy
Red Tip
RR Rake
RR Baby Smooth
Birth-Quarter Black Beauty

1. 1962 Slim (my Dad's former razor)
2. Futur clone
3. Futur clone back-up because the other one has a flaw inside the cap which may become an issue in the years to come and they were so cheap so why not?

I know I've easily bought and sold 20-30 razors over the years but I'm in a minimalizing mode right now so I'm sticking with a 2 razor rotation.
