What's new

Lip Chap that doesn't give me girly lips.

So winter is upon us and my lips get extremely chapped/cracked/bleeding very quickly.

Now I've tried the widely available blistex and Chapstick and they all give my shiny lips, mix that with the red cold dry lips that winter gives me and I look like I'm half in drag.

So my question is to you guys, what can I get that will keep my lips from burning and cracking but won't gloss them up?

Pure shea butter most likely will suffice. But you can try Bee-Yond Lip Balm, Certified Organic Natural Lip Balm from BeeCeuticals Organics.

I'm not sure if you can get it over there but I swear by ChapIce. I buy it in Pennys (also known as Primark). As a girl I've used countless types of chopsticks over the years and this is the best I've found.
It's not shiney, not greasy or sticky, has no colour or tint and doesn't end up drying my lips.
I put it on religiously each night before bed and this it's much much better than bigger, more expensive brands.

I should also not I've used ChapIce in the middle of winter in the Maritimes and in minus 33 degrees weather in Quebec and it really helps with these extreme conditions. I got my mum to post me over some I like it that much!

A long time ago I did. I might have to hunt down a stick again, they all seem to be fruity flavors with sparkles now tho...

Burts Bees is very soothing. It goes on a bit glossy but dries matte as soon as it absorbs.

Not like this...

Motor oil. Nothing girly about that.

Or, you could use Vaseline. After the chapping is cured, your lips would not be red anymore.
