Lime Scent Shaving Cream

Just a quick question. I'm looking for a good Lime Scented Cream. I will be using it in conjunction with Trumper's Lime skin food. Price is not really an issue as long as the quality justifies the price.

There seems to be a lot out there but I don't know what is best. Any recommendations?

That's the logical choice and my initial thought. I have just finished my tub of Trumpers GFT cream, I was very satisfied with it.

Just curious if there was a better alternative to trumpers out there.

Castle Forbes Lime. It's the best smelling lime cream out there in my opinion.

Castle Forbes is on the list though, only heard good things, but you'll pay for it!

GFT Lime Skin Food is one of my favorite aftershave products and it partners really well with the Limes shaving cream. It's one of my favorite combinations.

I have used Castle Forbes Lime, T&H West Indian Limes, and Trumper's Lime. They are all good creams with slightly different characteristics (to me).

Castle Forbes makes the richest, densest lather of the three. The scent is pure lime essential oil, which you may or may not prefer to the other scents, which are slightly more complex. I actually think the scent of CF Lime is weaker than either T&H or Trumper's, but obviously a lot of people disagree with me. As for the shave, there is a ton of cushion, but not much slickness to the CF cream. Sometimes I can almost feel the blade trying to stick just a little. Even so, I get a close, comfortable shave with this cream, and my face feels great afterward. Occasionally I add a tiny bit of KMF to increase slickness. This yields a very good lather and a comfortable shave.

T&H WIL cream is the slickest of the three, IMO, but as far as cushion is concerned I would rate it last of these three choices. It lathers up very easily without much effort. I love the scent. I think it is the best of the three, but a lot of people find it too "artificial." I think it balances sweetness with some nice undertones of scent that I find very pleasant. I always get good shaves with T&H WIL.

Trumper's cream, for me, is kind of halfway between the other two with regard to cushion and slickness. Slicker than CF, more cushion than T&H. I get wonderful shaves and the face feel after the shave is top notch. The scent is nice, but sweeter than either of the other two. Some people think it is too sweet. I like the scent, but not quite as much as I like the T&H scent.

Bottom line: Of the three, I chose to buy a full tub of Trumper's. I use it at least 3 times a week and I continue to enjoy it. I think the Castle Forbes is richer and more luxurious, and I think the T&H smells better, but Trumper's Lime provides me good cushion, good slickness, good smell, and an excellent shave.

Excellent Summary and while I can't speak for Lime scent, I love my GFT Lavender. All around great product with an excellent blend of cushion and slickness.

I think from the above and my previous experience of Trumper's products, I will be going for the Trumper's. I want to try them all but that will be a long term goal.

I can't remember for sure if the GFT sample pack had lime shaving cream or not. The Lime skinfood was in it!

A less expensive alternative is Kiss My Face Lime. Pretty good stuff, on par with Taylor's.

The Forbes is a great natural lime scent. It is so good you will announce it as the "absolute best shave cream ever"

Seriously try it though. I think I will try the Lavender next year cause I have the Lime flavour slot reserved for Mama Bear's Iced Lime.
I have to pick my moments cause I have too much creams & soaps to use up
