Just talked to my dad, and the subject of shaving came up. I've been DE shaving for several months, and my favorite razors are a 58 Fat Boy and 62 Slim. Come to find out, my dad (born in 50) has been using the same Slim (he just knew it as a Gillette adjustable) since he was 14. It's an H4--my Slim is an H3--that he got from his father, who died in 63. He's been using the blades he gets at Walmart (boo, hiss), and rationing them for fear of running out.
Most interestingly, we have the same shaving pattern even though we have never discussed it: WTG on 7-9, XTG 5-6, ATG 3-5. Short story, tomorrow I'm sending him a sampler of Astras, 7 o'clocks and whatever else I decide to toss in.
