:c2: Got an unwanted "knife taco" case with a recent purchase.

Knife will go in pocket and get the scuffs, scratches and damage it deserves. Buck up, knife. We all get scars.

But the taco case fits these speed strips perfectly! And will keep dust/dirt out. And will puzzle sheeple.

"Hey, that little zipper case has GUN AMMO in it! Can he DO that?!" :c8: - Baa Baaaaa

Oh! Ok. You know, like a "watch taco." Little zippered hooyah ...

one sec ... clearly, this would work very well for loose rounds too. Or 22.

Do you leave an empty spot in the middle for a better hold?

Or on the end for a longer tab?
When I became an LEO in ‘77, all we carried were revolvers. For speed strips, we were taught to cut off the tab, and carry 4 rounds. The reason being that the object is to get back in the fight asap. Loading that 5th round took more time than it was worth for just one more round. Load 4, close up, shoot. And by cutting off the tab and carrying the 4 rounds on the ends meant that the orientation of the strip in the pocket was always the same, and easier to hold. Still doing it to this day.

Agree! The 8-holer gives me 6 non-fumbling.

Sure you practiced with eyes closed etc. Reloading a revolver under duress would make me very uncomfortable. I might just pitch the gun at the perp and haul butt!

No faster reload then a second revolver. I want to carry a revolver, but we keep making the case for a semi auto? :)

:chinese: Sun Tzu said, "To win without fighting is best." I have always employed this golden stratagem, so I can carry exotic, cool and impractical firearms for style points since I'm never going to need them! 🤣

🤔 Or rely on the crime stats about how few rounds are fired, the distance etc. Revolvers served our ancestors very well. 🤔 Usually.

I always hope for the best, but short of carrying a bazooka, I prefer to be prepared for the worst? :)

To win without fighting may be best, but if one must fight, win at all cost!

Personally I calculate risk. If I'm going somewhere with high crime, I find something appropriate to carry. Lesser risk, perhaps carry a 38 keepsake. I honor at least three passed relatives by carrying and using the revolvers they bequeathed me. And my USAF nephew will get them when I am done.

I mean to keep that boy waiting, however!

I don’t hangout in dark alleys either and there isn’t any more peaceful place to be then church on Sunday morning. But bad people are even walking into churches now.

But I am carrying my Ruger LCPea II more and more as I create distance from my former life. :)

As Jeff Cooper said, "You can't make an appointment for an emergency", life is unpredictable. But I too am often guilty of carrying a J frame with just a speed strip when I gamble that risks are low.

I was at a casino playing poker year’s ago and had my arse handed to me in the game and all my money taken from me by a female card shark who came there disguised as an old, feeble grandma sitting in a wheelchair and using an oxygen tank.

There was nothing feeble about that woman. She had no mercy.

Sometimes it’s difficult to guesstimate and assess risk? ;)

My paternal grandmother was under 5 foot tall, and looked and acted so sweet- until a game of Rummy 500 was started. :)
