Since it's the Gillette is made in England that costs over $100, i'd say either 3rd or 4th generation British Aristocrat or perhaps either 2 or 3 piece RFB.

My mother dropped one additional clue as to my birthday razor; she says it’s from the 1950’s according to the seller and has quite a bit of weight to it.

That nails the Fatboy.

(Although I don't know of any British made Fatboy razors it's still my guess and I'm sticking with it.)
