L'Essor DE razor

I was impressed by the L'Essor SE razor, as shown in that posting, but never had a double edged L'Essor. I know they made an adjustable, but this is the only L'Essor DE I've acquired, so far. French fit and feel -- idiosyncratic and quite a charmer. Like the Le Coq and Kabrand, & etc., it makes a great impression but seems not to be as well made as the German and British razors.

Not sure if the disassembly knob is meant to be of a different (brass-like) color or if the plating wore away. But it is a very nice DE set, and another of the French pre-WWII razors.

My only issue with this razor is that it's really hard to eyeball while shaving which side you're using. An indicator like Gibbs' +/- would have been helpful. It's a very efficient shaver.

Aggressive. Not quite as aggressive as a Blackbird but in that ballpark.

Very impressed with this razor's efficiency. Treet Platinum blade this morning, 5pm still almost BBS. Love it.
