I was impressed by the L'Essor SE razor, as shown in that posting, but never had a double edged L'Essor. I know they made an adjustable, but this is the only L'Essor DE I've acquired, so far. French fit and feel -- idiosyncratic and quite a charmer. Like the Le Coq and Kabrand, & etc., it makes a great impression but seems not to be as well made as the German and British razors.
Not sure if the disassembly knob is meant to be of a different (brass-like) color or if the plating wore away. But it is a very nice DE set, and another of the French pre-WWII razors.
